Tracy Hawes

Having completed a dual degree in Education, Psychology, and Expressive Therapies through the University of Massachusetts and after spending over 10 years in that arena working with children and adults who had varied disabilities, Tracy decided to pursue healing in another direction. She graduated from the Muscular Therapy Institute, Cortiva Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she completed a 1600-hour program in the application, theory, and practice of massage. Continuing her training through the Benjamin Advanced Training Program, she focused on injury evaluation, assessment, and treatment as profiled by Dr. James Cyriax, as well as through Grace Chan’s Advanced Sports and Athletic massage.

Over her twenty years of practice, Tracy has trained in a wide range of modalities including Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage, Injury Assessment, Myofascial Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique/EFT, LaStone “hot stone” Therapy, African Healing, Quantum Touch, Kinesiology, as well as meditation and breathing techniques. She also trained as a Doula (labor and birth coach) and as an Ayurvedic and Herbal Medicine practitioner.

Tracy holds national certification through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and is a professional standing member of the Association for Bodywork and Massage Practitioners. She apprenticed with the New England Patriots and the Boston Women’s Beantown Rugby Team as well as conducted private work with elite athletes in cycling, hockey, marathons, golf, tennis, and water sports.

Tracy brings an integrated approach to her treatment style combining the recommendation and use of aroma, vitamin, herbal, homeopathic, and exercise therapies; facilitating wellness through alternative means as well as through integration with general health care. Her clients, including pre- and post-natal women, the terminally ill, active seniors, athletes, physicians, and individuals in need of general relaxation, are benefitted from her network of professional therapists and practitioners who help restore wellness and wholeness of being.

Tracy adds to her Muscular Therapy practice in Transformational and Empowerment Life Coaching. Combining her coach training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, with a specialized focus in the areas of fundamentals (mind/body/spirit), positive psychology, and whole-person coaching. Merging further training through Optimize Coach Training, extensive Enneagram Studies, and Feminine Leadership Coaching.  Appointments are scheduled in series and bi-monthly.

She has most recently been certified as a Mindfulness Educator through the Mindfulness Schools in Berkley, CA. Having previously trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society at UMass Worcester as well as studies in Non-Violent Communication in various settings.
